A rare Art Deco novelty silver plate Automaton Cigarette Box with a Scottie Dog Lid and geometric designs throughout. There is a button on the side and by pressing it down it pushes a cigarette through the hole in the front the two internal lids gilt – nice unusual item – would benefit a clean, leaving it to buyer who is expected to have more knowledge with these Automatons than us. Nothing appears to be missing but untested so sold as seen. A rare item.

 

Circa 1920-30

Appears good Mechanical and Constructional condition with wear to the outside finish – copper base metal showing through – please view images

Marked with a rising sun so probably Japanese?
