Bronze Falcon, Perched Upon a Falconers Glove – In The Manner of Gallo

This gorgeous bronze falcon appears to be a replica of the original sculpture by Gallo, a renowned 20th Century sculptor. Even though it is a replica, it is still a striking piece and isn’t a common item to come across again in a life time. As this is a replica, there is unfortunately no makers mark anywhere on the body of the falcon.

The falcon and the glove are 2 separate pieces and the falcon has to be fitted on the glove via a locating peg on the inside of the foot. Once fitted, it looks precarious but the falcon will sit on the glove well. In addition to the falcon and the glove, there is a hood which can be fitted or removed to the falcon.

The falcon does have some damage in the form of some missing talons on one foot as well as a casting crack through one wing (the wing is still structurally sound). All damage has been photographed.

The falcon measures roughly 45cm T x 25cm W x 36cm D when sat on in the glove. It total, all 3 pieces weigh 12.9kg.
