Fully restored and rebuilt Esavian Stacking Dining Chairs by James Leonard for ESA, 1950s. An excellent example of midcentury industrial design. Iconic and very stylish, these chairs are highly sought after and difficult to find in this condition.
Each chair has undergone approximately 4 hours of work, including sanding, oiling, staining, and waxing the plywood.
The backrests have been sanded, smoothed, and painted satin black to complement the shape and proportions of these chairs. We have eight of this type available.
The bases are 46cm wide, and the backs are wider than the usual type of Esavian chair. Seat base height is 46cm, suitable for adults.
They feature beautiful aluminium swooping frames with beech ply inserts. These chairs are becoming increasingly hard to find.
We have three available and another 30 or so with wood bases, which are also listed. It is possible to order them as a batch if you have a restaurant, cafe, or workspace.
We have experience working on several commercial interior projects and are happy to supply or consult.
