Rare Original 1970’s The King of Peacock Chairs, Cobra Wicker Throne Armchair

Extremely rare and magnificent wicker and cane Cobra Peacock Throne armchair, from the 1970s. The type and style made famous by French director Just Jaeckin and Dutch actress Sylvia Kristel in the cult film Emmanuelle.

This iconic masterpiece is the King of Peacock chairs, one of the largest and rarest models around. It is more than 16 inches taller than the usual common versions of peacock chairs, with intricately weaved patterns and hints towards American Indian style weaved decoration

It will look superb in a large setting, such as a conservatory, bedroom, living room, and garden. Perfect for relaxing, reading, snoozing, and photoshoots. Add a cushion, rug, or throw over for extra comfort and style.

In overall exceptional vintage condition.

This chair has been well-kept over the decades and is very strong and sturdy. Due to the age of the material, there are signs of wear and imperfections. There are some minor losses of wicker on the edges of the armrests, some small dark patches of wicker (due to water absorption), and there is slight fading at the base.
