1960s Italian Murano glass and brass pendant lantern hanging ceiling light. Designed by Gaetano Sciolari for Sciolari Lighting. The Murano handblown glass oval shade has a beautiful engraved mottled patterned surface with amoeba shaped frosted spots. The shade is supposed on a brass frame with a deep almost black patina. The lantern is suspended from an adjustable chain. Rewired by a professional electrician and is in full working order. A single E27 Edison screw in lightbulb is required.
Perfect for an entrance hallway.
Having researched the exact provenance for this pendant I have noticed it being misrepresented as being designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni. This light has the original label stating Sciolari.
It is in very good vintage condition.
