Majestic and scenographic, this dining table created by Vivai del Sud represents one of the most refined expressions of Italian decorative design of the ’80s.

The result of an artisan production of the highest level, it is characterized by a sculptural base entirely made of Italian cane curved and lacquered in an intense coral red hue, which enhances its organic shapes and complex processes.

The design of the base develops with great theatricality: four curved and slender arms rise with a fluid pattern from a square base, opening like vegetable stems towards the outside, in a gesture that recalls flowering or botanical architecture.

Each element is marked by a careful vertical rhythm given by the arrangement of the cannettes, which creates a fascinating play of light and shadow on the surface.

The base itself is finished with the same attention, with perfectly shaped corner joints and continuous fittings.

The upper floor is in transparent tempered glass, with a square shape with rounded corners, designed to enhance the structure below and amplify its sculptural effect. The combination of glass and the natural lacquered barrel generates a visual balance of great elegance, where lightness is combined with the expressive power of the material.

This piece, rare on the market, perfectly embodies the unmistakable style of Vivai del Sud: a visual language that blends Mediterranean craftsmanship, colonial suggestions and taste for the exotic in a sophisticated key.

Ideal as a dining table or center room in environments with a strong character, it also lends itself to being included in interior projects of great personality, between modernism and tropical decorativism.

Excellent general conditions with tiny signs of aging given originality.
