Very rare T69 table in the 5-legged XL version designed by Osvaldo Borsani in collaboration with Eugenio Gerli in the late 1950s for the Tecno SPA company.
Usually the T69 table in versions A and B was produced with 4 legs with a maximum width of 140cm, in order to overcome this amplitude the 5-leg variant was patented which in this case has an original smoked glass of 150cm.
As the difference in cost was disproportionate to the public, given the production costs compared to the 4 legs, very few were produced and for a short time.
The table is made of solid painted aluminum with fronts in brass foil with brushed finish, it has 5 legs with original round smoked glass shelf of 14mm thickness, which has 5 precisely executed recesses that allow its exact placement on the base .
The glass is in excellent condition, practically perfect, without scratches or pecks and the base has some small signs of aging, as shown by photographs, given its almost 70 years.
The paint in the center has been finely restored.
In general it is in excellent vintage condition, restored and remains a very rare collector’s item for admirers of one of the most important designers of the 1900s.
