Description
An impressive piece of furniture, this 19th century pine tavern table is one of the best of its type to be found and retains its original painted finish.
– Long and narrow.
– Beaded edge to top.
– Turned legs with stretcher at either end.
– Sturdy and stands solidly.
– Top has been varnished and has a glossy finish, whilst the original paint on the legs and frame is matte.
This could be used as a breakfast or dining table and, despite being narrow, is long enough to seat 6, but it will also make a great display surface against a wall.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. The beaded edge is slightly loose at one corner. The top has the marks of long use in a tavern environment, giving it the expected character, but the varnish means it is smooth for contemporary use in the home.
