Ornately Carved Dining Table

A fabulous quality 19th century dining table, this is ornately carved and has a beautifully patterned veneered top with a plate glass cover. The top has seen some fading and wear, but the quality shines through and the carving is wonderful.

– Ornately carved with foliate designs throughout.
– Cabriole legs.
– Plate glass cover.
– Quartered veneer shaped design on the top, with crossbanded borders.
– Over 2 metres long.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. The top has some wear around the edges, with some sun fade shapes centrally, but this gives the piece some character and the plate glass protects and highlights the veneer for the future. There are signs of some old woodworm on the top. A small number of very minor chips to the extremities of the carving are noted, but these are unobtrusive and the carving is generally in good condition.
