Description
Stunning and very solid 1950s hardwood school books cabinet.
A very simple and stylish top quality solid piece of furniture which had been painted in white emulsion.
We have spent a lot of time stripping it back to wood and it now looks superb. Now stripped, oiled and waxed and bearing 70 years of battle scars and traces of white paint and graffiti on the side, this is now ready for its next home.
It’s been fitted with 1960s Priory handles, and has a key so can be locked shut.
Dimensions: 132cm x 40cm x 90cm. Stamped on the back “LCC Oct 54” which I’m presuming is London city council October 1954.
Perfect as a hallway cupboard or kitchen.
Alternatively could be used for clothing / laundry. Please see all pics.
