Country-house Elm Mule Chest

A magnificent elm dome top mule chest, this remarkable piece of country-house furniture requires a generous space as it is a real statement piece due to its scale, wonderful flowing elm grain and simple decorative details.

The domed top opens to reveal a large storage interior with a small lidded candle box and other storage to the upper left hand side. The front panel has the most wonderful swirling elm grain, the upper section of the base has a moulded mid frame, over two short and one long drawers all with original brass knob handles, the turned feet are highlighted by elegant carved fan shaped decorations.
