Description

Nineteenth century gilt wood grate screen with grid-point ‘Gainsborough’ tapestry in Verre Eglomise Frame.Very decorative and pretty.

 

There is some scuffing and chipping to the gilt frame- but it really makes the piece.

 

The tapestry is in beautiful condition – depicting a country scene with a young lady and a dog.

 

The black mount has some flaking – see all photographs.

 

This could all be rectified – but if like me you like antique pieces in their original state – then this is ready to go!

 

Dimensions 64cm wide x 87cm high.
