Description
A very unusual & large antique Georgian porcelain Spode Plate / Charger decorated in bright enamels in the Chinese taste.
It is a Chinese pattern. Spode produced this in Blue & White about 1816 and is called “India”. There are coloured Spode pieces, but not with back decoration. It is possible that the piece was possibly made as a bespoke replacement for a customer who had an original Chinese service. This is a very rare piece.
