A very unusual pair of gilt and porcelain Candlesticks, having a gilt brass body and porcelain stems with inlaid gilt floral decoration. I have never seen this type of work before so I am calling them designer as I would imagine that they were done in small numbers in a small studio. There is a kite mark but it is difficult to read.

 

Circa: late19th century / early 20th century

Good Antique Condition – uncleaned – no sconces (if they ever had any) – observation the heads of the screws underneath are ‘Phillip heads’ so either handmade or contemporary.
