Georgian Silver Bowl with Swing Handle. This superb petit bowl is from the year 1794 and by William Stroud of London Sterling Silver bowl with swing handle and gilt interior. The bowl is engraved on the sides with the family crests for the Egerton Family and the Earl of Bridgwater. In 1795 Sir John Grey- Egerton of Egerton and Oulton married Lady Maria Egerton in Chester Cathedral. Born Maria Scott Jackson, Lady Maria was the daughter and sole heir of Mr Thomas Scott Jackson, who was one of the Directors of the Bank of England. This is a very attractive piece with some interesting history attached.

 

The piece is in good condition with only age related signs of wear.
