A wonderful antique Victorian latticino type cherub handled glass Bowl in the style of Venetian glass from a design of Dr Antonio Salviati (Venetian glass master) by Alexander Jenkinson for Edinburgh Crystal / Leith Flint Glass. in white and blues (images came out very disappointing due to the lead content in the glass being picked up by the camera, the colours are bright). Clear ‘cherub masks’ are applied on either side of a turned, footed form. Rough pontil. Jenkinson took over the company in 1865 and produced high-quality art glass until the end of the 19th century when Edinburgh Crystal moved to more traditional cut glass wares, he died in 1909.
