A superior and good antique Georgian pearlware pottery Basket on Stand C.18thC

A very good antique Georgian pearlware pottery blue and white transferware strapwork Basket Dish on Stand, possibly a Chestnut Basket on Stand. The Stand with an arcaded and basket weave rim, a band of hexagonal and dot decoration with a central Longbridge view. The Basket having the hexagon and dot band on the top rim, the central oval bottom panal with bands of rope, weave and a tiny version of the hexagonal and dot, having the Longbridge scene within. I am dating this late 18th century but could be early 19th century. I have found similar pieces where the decoration has been attributed to both Spode and Herculaneum, Liverpool, but not Baskets on Stands, just Plates.

Good antique condition with a tiny flake on the base of the Basket, and I found a firing crack from manufacture and a few scratches in the centre of the stand – with a lens there is fine light crazing, all mentioned for accuracy. This is a very fine and superior piece in wonderful condition, I believe it to be of Museum quality.
