This spherical vase was made by the German glass factory Nachtmann during the 1960s. The vase is made of high quality 24% Bleikristall 24% lead crystal. It has decorative motifs.
The Nachtmann Manufactory was founded in 1834 by Michael Nachtmann in Unterhütte, Oberpfalz. He was an excellent glass producer. In 1900, the company was taken over by Zacharias Frank, who moved its headquarters to Neustadt an der Waldnaab. After the war, in 1945, Nachtmann rebuilt the partially destroyed production plants and started the production of lead crystal. In 1983, a third, highly modern crystal factory was established in Weiden in der Oberpfalz. In 2004, Nachtmann was taken over by its rival, the Austrian crystal producer Riedel, which now bears its name and brand.
This vase is in original vintage condition.
