A fine little vinaigrette with a castle top and and an image of the Scott Monument expertly engraved to the reverse. The lid is decorated with scrolls which surround a clean cartouche. The interior is gilded as is the beautifully designed grille. Pleasingly the original sponge can be found underneath the grille. The piece hallmarked for Birmingham 1849 and by Edward Smith.
