Green Chateauneuf Du Pape Grape Hod

An attractive early 20th century grape hod which can be usefully repurposed, this French galvanised container has a variety of possible functions, perhaps for logs or kindling, boots, umbrellas, or even as a planter.

– Distressed green paint with black lettering and gilt cross keys motif.
– Originally used to harvest grapes in France.
– Large enough, at 63 cm in height, to be used as a functional storage bin.
– Original leather straps attached at the back to iron loops.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is some internal surface rust, but there are no weaknesses or holes in the metal. A gentle large dent in the back is not obtrusive and does not affect function.
