Description
A great decorator’s piece for a wine cellar or bar, this large calvados barrel originates from France where the apple and pear brandy was specifically manufactured in Normandy, going back to the 16th century.
– Ovate barrel bound by riveted iron straps.
– H-stretcher on the front face.
– Beneath the stretcher is a carved strap affixed by a brass bolt.
– Brass tap.
– Unplugged hole in the top.
– Sturdy stand.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use.
