Pair primitive American antique 19th-century spindle or rod back wood chairs. Handmade with original surface that was painted in brown and peach and shows lots of honest wear. They are a pair, but one is just slightly shorter than the other, by half an inch! Beautiful example of early American, farmhouse utilitarian furniture.
Good antique condition. Sturdy construction. Worn surfaces. Lefthand chair is missing the lower dowel that would go across the back legs. Righthand chair is missing lower dowels on back, right and left sides.
Measurements
36 inches high by 15 1/2 inches wide by 15 1/4″deep
Seat height is 16-1/2″ and 17″
After the photos showing the pair, they solo photos are grouped together; i.e. all the closeups of the chair on the left first; then the right.
