As with many antique French pieces, it has been ingeniously constructed to fully dismantle, making it far easier to transport and install in modern homes.

Once assembled, it is incredibly solid, heavy, and stable. For added peace of mind, we have fitted two discreet internal bracket plates to further secure the structure without compromising its antique character.The piece displays a fabulous, naturally aged patina that speaks to its history and authenticity.

Expect to see some age-related marks and bumps throughout – these only enhance its rustic appeal. There are a few minor areas of wood loss to the back, which can be seen in the photos, and signs of historic woodworm – thoroughly treated and no longer active.
