A beautiful piece of vintage and mid century furniture in a display cabinet by G Plan furniture. The cabinet consists of a super stylized oak cabinet with a slightly sloping front. To the top there are two glass sliding doors with a single adjustable glass shelf inside that helps to form two separate storage compartments, underneath there are a further two oak sliding doors with recessed handles to each end, and with a further large storage area inside. The bookcase has been expertly hand crafted by the cabinet maker G Plan and comes from there first range of furniture named Brandon, released in 1953 and designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins with the cabinet having the gold embossed logo to the base. The cabinet is a fabulous piece of vintage and retro furniture with a great styling and design and a super piece of practical furniture that would look amazing in any home or environment.
Measurements W 36 inches H 33 inches D Top 9 Inches Bottom 13 Inches.
Condition The cabinet is in fabulous condition made of solid wood with an oak veneer. The storage cabinet has been hand sanded back to the original wood then French polished and waxed.

My names Mark and after some twenty plus years working within retail management I wanted to work a job that gave me a sense of achievement and accomplishment. Ive always had an interest and passion for furniture and wanted to gain more knowledge this teamed with my creative eccentric side led me to create Tallboy Furniture. I love all forms of furniture from vintage to retro to mid century modern, and find nothing better than spending my days restoring pieces of furniture that people have forgotten about and giving them the tender loving care to bring them back to there former glory. I love the story that a cabinet can tell and wonder if they could only talk the stories and adventures some pieces must of been on. The pieces I have listed all have time and care and love put into them and all of my listings are perfect and never leave my workshop unless otherwise. I pride myself on my quality of work and find nothing more satisfying than placing one of my pieces in a new home where its treasured and adored to take pride and place and to be used for it’s intended purpose.
My furniture has been chosen to appear in the World of Interior magazine and has also been featured on the series of 60 Minute Makeover, with the designer Linda Barker hand choosing a stunning vintage chest of drawers to appear in the show and be the centre piece of her design. It’s an amazing achievement to now be recognised as an official supplier to 60 Minute Makeover.
