Antique Bakhshaysh Carpet

Bakhsyash carpets do not usually possess a high knot count but always have an abundance of artistic and decorative value. Attributes are clearly shown in this antique piece with very subtle colours and characterful brushes throughout the piece. The sweet stylised flower stem across the field, framed with the geometric border and numerous changes of colour, gives it that impressive look. The condition of the piece is good, with an excellent pile.
