Six plates showing one of Hogarth’s most famous works. Expertly engraved by T Cook who is considered to be the greatest engraver of Hogarth’s paintings and even better than the great man himself. The set shows the doomed process of a young couples marital journey and is taken from the artists original paintings, which were produced between 1743/1745. This is a fine set which have recently been reframed in modern ‘ Hogarth’ frames.
