Limited Edition no. 463 of 600 designed by John Wadsworth

A very rare and unusual Orb-shaped lidded Bowl of a limited edition of 600 made by Minton to an exceptionally high quality with rich gilding throughout. The shape as reminiscent of the Orb which is part of the British Crown Jewels and manufactured by one of the best British potteries. In high-quality gilt around the rim of the lower section of the orb reads ‘To Commemorate The Crowning of Queen Elizabeth The Second June 2nd 1953’. Roses, thistles and shamrocks encircle the base. Stamped to the underside Limited issue of 600 of which this is no 463, the usual Minton stamp and signed designed by John Wadsworth.
