Charles Handrup was a Danish Silhouette cutter working at the turn of the 20th century from Evans store in Oxford Street in London. There is an example of his work in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. He was most notable for highlighting his portraits with white chalk, which this example has. Charles Handrup was run-over by a car in 1931 and later died of his injuries.
