Compact Georgian Kneehole Desk with Drop Front Drawer

A fabulous small kneehole writing desk from the reign of George II, this 18th century mahogany piece is of compact proportions and will make a handsome addition to a smaller space.

– Drop front top drawer with brass release mechanism, revealing three small internal drawers and five letter sections.
– Top section lined in green baize, with all the lower drawers and the cupboard lined in green paper.
– Three deep drawers at each side, with a central cupboard with a fixed shelf inside the kneehole.
– Attractive shaped bracket feet.
– Key available to lock all drawers and the cupboard.

This wonderful piece is lovely to look at and continues to be useful for its original purpose nearly 300 years into its life.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is some wood checking at the sides from the natural drying of the wood over time, and a textured knot.
