A wonderful piece of carving, this late 17th or early 18th century decorative piece has been carved in boxwood in a baroque style which is reminiscent of the great Venetian Andrea Brustolon.

– Originally from a panelled room or a large piece of furniture.
– Stylised head with long pointed ears at the top, with carved ribbon extending down from the mouth.
– Below this there is a bow, followed by a shield, helmet and armour, with a hanging foliate pendant carved at the bottom.
– Mounted on modern frame with a green watered fabric background.

A wonderful decorative statement piece for any interior or for the collector, this tactile carving will look lovely on the wall.

In good condition.
