A quite simply stunning antique late Victorian mahogany open armchair in Geo ll style dating to circa 1890 With carved cabriole legs and scrolling armrests Expensively and professionally and sympathetically recovered in a fine quality fabric with over stuffed seat It is difficult to overstate the sheer quality of this chair from the lovely patina of the frame to the expert upholstery of the back and seat this is an exceptionally fine quality chair in the Geo ll manner This piece dates to the late 19th century but is in a style of the mid 18th century of the Geo ll period, original 18th century examples would cost many many thousands of pounds and are sought after and rare items,
